I think I really need Spring Break to come. This department is so full of asskissing and politics that it makes me sick. I am at the point where I just want to get through it and get onto to something more worthwhile. I had a whole big speel worked out in my head as I was walking back from the store but I don\u2019t feel like going into it now. I really don\u2019t think I am going to get a TA position next year. Maybe talking with Vicki about what she is going to teach along with getting an A- in Syntax and a B- in SLA just has me bummed a little bit. Plus I miss Rhea a lot.<\/p>\n<p>We had a really good weekend. On Friday we went to Paul\u2019s new apartment and hung out there with Shannon and Paul. They are supposed to get married in May of 95 I think. Hopefully I will be done with my thesis by then. On Saturday Kara and Dan came up and we went to dinner and to tickets and then came home and stayed up talking until 3 or 4 in the morning. Dan is still in school and working as a valet. He bought a new truck. Maybe that is on my mind as well. Buying things does have its appeal. I just need to really Veg over Spring break. That should help things a bit. Oh well.
