I’m sitting at my desk. A huge spring storm is assaulting Dayton right now. Nobody is really around and I have nothing to do so I’m going to make this a long entry if I can. I’m going to try and write about all the stuff I should have been writing all along.
Kevin called me on Monday to tell me he had wiped out on a three-wheeler. He said he broke his nose in four places and may not be able to come to the Rush concert. Which also meant that Char may not be coming either. My mom called me Tuesday, though, and said that they were on their way. I was very glad to hear it. Chris got here first. We talked about a girl who he really likes but who has a boyfriend at UD. He didn’t know if he should try to go out with her or not. I told him I wouldn’t.
Kevin and Char got here about a half hour later. Kevin’s face was pretty messed up but I thought it could have been worse. Char was excited to be here. She was in the bathroom and everyone came in to meet her. When she came out of the bathroom and there was about 10 people in my room. I felt kind of bad because it was like she was on display for everyone to judge. Apparently everyone thought she was OK (except probably Rhea!)
So the four of us went to McDonald’s for dinner, then to get gas and beer. We came back here for about three minutes, then we left. Kevin said that he had come from his safe suburban existence into the mad jaws of college life again. I know he loved it. So we headed toward Cincinnati in Chris’ car by way of Dan’s house, white castle, Dan’s friend’s house, and UC. When we finally got there and got parked a couple of Narc’s busted the pick-up right next to us.
I should now try to describe the Rush concert, but words do not exist to properly describe such a biblical event.
After the concert we stopped at Frisch’s on the way back. Kevin paid. He really is a great brother, but a great guy too. The next day after everyone left I found $15 in my book. He really knows what being a student is like. I sent him a postcard in thanks. Chris just walked in so I’ll pick this up later
