oh the humanity

tonight we forayed into the swath of south euclid humanity that is the st gregory the great festival. it was your typical carnival fair that the kids really enjoyed. nothing like a $4 lemonade but i didn’t mind as much this year since at least thirteen cents from the four dollar lemonade will go to the school the boy will be attending in the fall.

we saw a few p’s and kids from the boy’s pre-school and some other people we know. i saw mr becker, a teacher from my high school and some spawn of benander that used to live right around the corner from me and still must live somewhere nearby. i also introduced my self to the principal who is very good friends with my mom. he thought we had met and talked before, probably in church. i didn’t mention that we’d never been to st. greg’s church and where still parishoners at the old church.

anyway, the kids had fun, got to ride almost everything even though i’m pretty sure the girl is not 42 inches yet. the only one she had to skip was the swing ride that you always see crashing on the “when festivals go wrong” videos. she rode the merry-go-round a few times instead.
