school mornings have become a nice routine. most mornings i will get up with the boy, or he will get up by himself since his internal clock seems to be on school time now. when he packs his lunch the wife gets up with him to make his lunch, but that is usually only once or twice a week. this week our timing has really been in sync. after he gets on the bus i go inside and shower, dress, etc. while his bus goes into lyndhurst to collect all the st. gregian’s that live over there. by the time i’m in the car and driving around the war memorial at green and anderson, his bus is coming back from the lyndhurst run and is on the other side of the memorial waiting for the light to turn onto green rd. the boy has spotted me a couple of times and waved, it makes for good morning mojo.
in other news, all the kids have been cycling through the fall cold, the boy is done with it, the girl is finishing up, and the baby is right in the middle of her sickness. we added a humidifier to our room and she’s managed a couple of good nights of sleep, which means the wife and i have as well. i’m sure as soon as the baby is better the boy will have some new sickness from school that we can all share.
this weekend, weather permitting, we are headed to the zoo. the kid’s go fairly often but, other than “boo at the zoo” a couple of years ago, i haven’t been there lately. hopefully i’ll remember to take the digital camera with me.
i’m finalizing my end of the year travel and vacation plans. everything looks pretty standard, turkey day in cinnci the weekend before the actual thanksgiving day. i think this year we are having it at my sister-in-law’s new house which should be a nice change.
