we made it to and from the naty this weekend for our first turkey day. my sister-in-law had strep throat so we had to move some things around, but all and all it was a good trip. the kids did really well. the baby would have slept the whole way back except we got caught in a back up north of c-bus which delayed us almost an hour. it looked pretty nasty, they had regular road construction signs out that said “accident ahead.” looked like a big rig went off the side and down a steep embankment.
short work week and the another turkey day at my parent’s house. fun.
tonight, i’m off to dave and buster’s for some pool with some guys from work. we used to go out a lot more but we’ve all gotten old and married and all that fun stuff. the only bummer is that it is way on the other side of town. oh well.
i’m also really glad i missed one of the best weekend’s in cleveland/ohio sports history. the cav’s crushed orlando (i saw the end of this one on espn) at home and then go on the road and bron bron single handedly decides “ok, let’s go ahead and win this one” and they beat philly. i was reduced to watching that game on the ticker on yahoo (secure your wap ssid: usa#1 near king’s island! or don’t and accept my thanks). then the brown’s crush the “hapless” dolphins while i have to suffer through the steelers v ravens game. and ohio state managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat (or maybe it was the other way around with michigan) but i have a deep seated hatred of ohio state, so lets just say go big ten champions penn state! thankfully i did get to see my nittany lions finish up an awesome season again michigan state and claim the land grant trophy.
